Wayne Jackson interview

After several years of working with comic aritst Erik Reeves on his original Saint comic series we decided to give fans a rare chance to know more about Wayne Jackson the creator and writer of this off world series.

1. How long have you been writing comics?
I started writing and publishing comics in 2004, but I've been experimenting with writing for as long as I can remember. I haven't had formal training but writing in the form of journals and short stories has served as a release for many years. When I had something to say and felt like letting it out I'd take out my pen and pad and let my words pour onto the page until I felt better.
2. What is your Saint comic series about?
Put simply, Saint is my view on the human condition.

3. What inspired you to create your comic series?
I've always wanted to write a science fiction thriller with a philosphical edge, my comics give me the oppurtunity to explore the ideas and concepts that I enjoy in my own way.

4. Can you tell us who or what inspires you to write?
Writing has always been the way I've chosen to express myself, sometimes talking things out can be fustrating. With comics I get to literally illustrate my point.

5. What advise do you have for anyone looking to write comics?
Everyone has thier own style of writing but I think the hardest thing I've had to do is maintain the business end of comics. Take care of your intellectual properties with trademarking and copywriting. It seems like a lot to learn at first but once you handle the business end the rest will fall into place.

6. For your fans what does the future hold for your Saint comic series?
More aliens, action and plot twists! If you enjoy Saint keep a watch out for Regrattably Yours in 2015!

Production continues with more Saint comics headed to fans in the near future.
